
As we leave the Earth’s atmosphere, it starts to feel a bit odd.
The take off to the Moon is uneventful. Similar to a plane flight.
As we leave the Earth’s atmosphere, it starts to feel a bit odd. Sort of dreamy.
After about 5 hours the shuttle lands quietly and comes to a stop. It’s amazing to see the Earth in the sky. A funny combination of feelings comes over me. I feel homesick, a longing from deep inside surfaces. Seeing the Earth so far away makes me feel really small and disconnected, without an anchor . . . floating.
